Criteria

A ‘leader’ of exceptional talent (or promise) must show extraordinary ability by sustained (or emerging) national or international recognition. The individual will be able to demonstrate a level of expertise (or emerging expertise) which places them at the forefront of their respective field in the digital technology sector.

Exceptional Talent and Exceptional promise mandatory criteria:

There are two options of the Global Visa depends on the applicant’s experience:

  • Exceptional Talent  - professional experience in tech exceeds 5 years
  • Exceptional Promise - professional experience in tech does not exceeds 5 years

Exceptional Talent optional criteria, only two out of four need to be satisfied:

  • A proven track record for innovation as a founder or senior executive of a product-led digital technology company or as an employee working on a new digital field or concept
  • Proof of recognition for work beyond the applicant’s occupation that contributes to the advancement of the field
  • Applicants must demonstrate that they have made significant technical, commercial or entrepreneurial contributions to the field as a founder, senior executive, board member or employee of a product-led digital technology company
  • Application must demonstrate they have demonstrated exceptional ability in the field by academic contributions through research published or endorsed by an expert

Exceptional Promise optional criteria, only two out of four need to be satisfied:

  • At least 1 example of innovation as a founder of a product led digital technology company or as an employee working on a new digital field or concept
  • At least 1 example of proof of recognition for work beyond the applicant’s occupation that contributes to the advancement of the field
  • At least 1 example of significant technical, commercial or entrepreneurial contributions to the field as a founder or employee of a product-led digital technology company
  • At least 1 example of exceptional ability in the field by academic contributions through research endorsed by an expert

The first stage of the application process includes the following documents and evidences:

  • Personal Statement
  • CV
  • Three letters of recommendations from 3 different well-established organisations acknowledged as experts in the digital technology field
  • UP to 10 evidences which aim to demonstrate that the applicant meets two optional criteria

The second stage of the application process includes one step which is a direct application for visa itself to the Home Office.
